I was studying up the California Motorcycle Handbook so I can get a license for a scooter/moped/whatever. I still have yet to even ride a two-wheeled motor vehicle – so I thought reading the manual might be important. However, I feel more like I’ve just wasted an hour. Here’s my favorite part:

“Motorcycles seem to attract dogs. If you are chased, downshift and approach the animal slowly. As you approach it, accelerate away and leave the animal behind. Don’t kick at an animal.”

Who are they to tell me I can’t kick a man-eating, rabid beast?

Mr Parsons… I laughed out loud when I read this and in doing so I woke up my dog… fortunately, he is not a man-eating rabid beast.
