Golampo.com Redesign

If you’ve been to the site before you’ll notice it’s gone through a major overhaul. In addition to changing golampo.com, I’m incorporating my previous music site scottparsons.biz that I’ve had for the last several years. No reason not to keep all my projects on the same domain. I’ve tried to make the site as unrestrictive as possible so I can experiment w/ some ideas and technologies, and continue to better my development skills.

Some technical facts about the new site for anyone who’s interested: For a content management system I’m using TextPattern, which is a very flexible, lightweight, and clean CMS straight out of the box. I’ve installed the rss-suparchive plugin to extend some of the categorization capabilities. For my scripting needs I’m using the Mootools Javascript Library. I’ve built upon some functions I recently wrote for the ZDNet.com redesign at my day job. In the music section I’m using the XSPF Web Music Player for mp3 streaming. Note: All of these tools are open-source.

Got any suggestions?

I suggest that you create an online portfolio, or at least links, to some of the many websites you have created.

Excellent design and very modular, semantic code. I love the XSPF music player. I would love to try out TextPattern sometime.

I look forward to reading your posts.

Hey this web site is sweet! A lot better then the older one you had developed! The only comment I have is to why the whole site is left justified? Also, it’s hard to read the white text at top left with such a high value of blue.

I agree with Casey about adding an online portfolio or links to web sites you have made.

Also, the comment section doesn’t allow one to submit before they preview first.
